Not all paddle boards are created equal. iRocker is at the very top in quality boards in the industry. You can buy a cheaper paddle board but not a better one. iRocker uses only the highest quality military grade PVC in their inflatable paddle boards. The internal 6 inch triple layer drop stitch core make the iRocker boards more stable than the common 4 inch boards on the market. Increased thickness equals increased stability and buoyancy for the rider. The non slip EVA diamond groove deck traction pad keeps you on your feet and in position while riding. They can be stored in the closet or trunk of your car and easily checked at the airport when travelling.

Update: Since writing this review, we have used the board about 10-12 times with no problems. Each use averaged out to about 4 hours, with several uses being over 10 hours. The calmer bodies of water will make use extremely easy while oceans with tides and choppy waters may challenge your balancing skills. Despite difficulty in the ocean with large waves, it was the most fun use we've had so far, the board handles waves surprisingly well and its a lot of fun in the ocean. If a calm ride is what you're looking for though you'll want to use it in a low traffic lake. If any problems arise with any of the items included I will be sure to update again.
First off, this board is very well made and attractive. I have used a couple of hard boards and my girlfriend has an inflatable in a similar price range that I have used as well. I can use her board for comparison as many beginners probably have both of these boards on their short lists.
Comparing to Ten Toes Weekender, I will start with the listed width of 30 inches. This is a bit misleading as the TT board is 30 inches for almost the entire length of the board, wheareas the iRocker is 30 in the center and tapers in the front and rear. Because of this, my girlfriend and I felt that the TT board felt more stable and less "tippy" than the iRocker. That being said, the iRocker is by no means unstable. I would say comparatively between the two, the learning curve is just a little higher with the iRocker and that it is closer to intermediate than beginner. Maybe "athletic beginner"?
The finish, construction and materials between the boards I would say are the same. The pumps look identical with the exception of color and painted logos. Both came with a patch kit and valve wrench as well. However, the iRocker comes with a backpack, which is functional and the paddle that came with the iRocker was much better built than the TT paddle. It is a little heavier, but showed to be sturdier in the four times we went out.
My girlfriend and I have taken turns at length on each board and we agree on the following: The TT board is more stable. The iRocker glides faster, smoother and with less effort. They are similar in tracking. The iRocker is more rigid. They are equally stylish and attractive. The iRocker is a little easier to maneuver and seems more responsive. I let a paddle board instructor take a ride and he termed the board very "playful".
I want to point out that I am in the process of returning the iRocker for no other reason than it simply was not what I wanted for my particular situation; ie, more stability for myself and our five children as beginners. Had I been willing to learn thru the higher curve, I would have surely kept the board.
I believe that one of the most important aspects of any company is customer service. There has been a snag in the return process thus far(the wrong return address was listed on Amazon), however, iRocker has always picked up the phone and been very responsive and kind in dealing with the situation and I think that their stellar customer service has been pointed out numerous times in reviews online.
In closing, if I was on the fence between two or three boards, I would definitely give the iRocker a buy. They have a 30 day return policy to try it out and as I said previously, they have been very responsive to my return. For an entry level board at this price point, I don't think you have anything to lose. I will update this review when the return has been finalized.
UPDATE: Refund went through without issues. Customer service was great during the entire process.
