Main Features:

1. The tripod ring is tightly combined with the lens, and there should be no stickers at the installation position. If there is, it should be removed, otherwise it will affect the installation;

Tripod lens collar for Z 180-600mm lens

This lens collar is ten times better than the original one from Nikon. The collar from Nikon if you remove it from the lens and then reattaching it to the lens is very difficult to screw it back on. The collar from iShoot is so much easier to attach and also the lens rotates a lot smoother than the Nikon collar. Plus, the iShoot has the Arca Swiss dovetail built in.

Della stessa marca avevo già acquistato il collare RT-1 (per il 300mm f4 PF) e avendone apprezzato la qualità ho ordinato questo non appena ho ricevuto il 180-600 (non prima, per scaramanzia).
L'ordine è stato consegnato addirittura in anticipo e, dopo circa un mese di utilizzo, posso dire che incontra quasi tutte le mie aspettative.
Lo standard Arca Swiss semplifica e velocizza l'installazione su monopiede e/o treppiede senza dover aggiungere una piastra aggiuntiva.
Per liberare il collare è necessario svitare e poi tirare verso l'esterno la vite di serraggio, e questo ci mette almeno in parte al riparo da tragiche cadute.
A differenza del collare originale mancano gli anelli per fissare una cinghia all'obiettivo: personalmente non ne sento la mancanza.
L'interno del collare non ha quella leggera gommatura che è invece presente nel sopracitato modello RT-1, sicché la rotazione dell'obiettivo mi sembra risulti più brusca, meno morbida (questo ha fatto perdere la quinta stella).
Ovviamente le dimensioni diverse dal collare originale renderanno inutilizzabile la corrispondente parte di un eventuale copriobiettivo di quelli fatti su misura, e poco male. Comunque ho subito spennellato via marca e codice prodotto, che sono ben stampati in un bianco su nero che potrebbe essere notato dalla fauna.
Un'ultima considerazione riservata a chi come me usa le cinghie Black Rapid: sono rimasto piacevolmente stupito dal fatto di potere avvitare l'attacco per il moschettone della cinghia Black Rapid nel foro più vicino alla fotocamera senza con questo ostacolare né l'aggancio alla testa del monopiede né l'installazione con perfetto bilanciamento sulla Gimbal del treppiede. Questo mi consente di camminare sui sentieri impervi delle mie montagne pronto a usare la macchina a mano libera oppure montandola velocemente sul monopiede (il treppiede viaggia nel retro dello zaino, quindi richiede più tempo). Si tenga presente che uso una Z9 e, utilizzando questo aggancio per la Black Rapid, il tutto risulta leggermente sbilanciato verso l'obiettivo, ma pur sempre comodo; tuttavia usando corpi macchina più leggeri lo sbilanciamento sarà sicuramente più evidente, costringendoci ad utilizzare un aggancio più centrale che dovrebbe essere rimosso per passare a monopiede/treppiede, soprattutto nel caso delle teste Gimbal che esigono un perfetto bilanciamento (esistono piastre che aiutano ad aggirare il problema).
In definitiva si tratta di un accessorio che considero irrinunciabile per un obiettivo come il 180-600, che per il suo peso si può si utilizzare a mano libera, ma che da i risultati migliori e si fa meglio apprezzare su una testa Gimbal o almeno su un monopiede.
Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.
Esistono alternative, ma molto più costose.
Altamente raccomandato.
