The cable is sturdy, not very flexible, and thick. It works as intended, but the main attraction are the ends. The USB part is fine, no problems there. The microUSB, the part that connects to the phone, is, as I feared, loose. I have a Galaxy S6, so it might no be an issue for other phones, but for me, the cable would slip out with the lightest of tugs, something that would never happen with my old cable. Sometimes, simply by moving the phone a little (such as when changing to landscape view or turning around in bed) the connector would slip out,

It turns out, the cable I need has to to have an tip with small indentations, as shown in the photo.

2 out of 3 no longer work. I’m nearly 100% certain that at least one of them failed within my 30 day return window but I was just way too busy to even try to return it. So, shame on me. It’s not like I’m out a ton of money. I was charged $12.99 for a three pack of 10 footers for my iPhone, so it’s not the end of the world. However, if Amazon does restock this item, I would strongly suggest that you look at an alternative product because the craftsmanship is apparently just not there. What are the chances that two out of three failed within a month or two? I read about all the testing that this company supposedly performs on their products and I really just have a hard time believing it. Rarely do I ever say anything negative about anyone or anything, but I felt it was important that I post the truth of my experience and let people know what’s up.

Decent cables, but the micro USB end wears down quickly

I purchased two of these cables in late March 2017, one 10-foot and one 6-foot, mainly as a charging cable for my phone. Both cables got used roughly 6-8 times daily. Within 4 months both cables' micro USB ends have become worn out -- specifically, the small elevated "nubbins" get worn down, causing the cable to literally fall out of the phone. Previously, for nearly 3 years, I'd been using the official charging cable from Motorola which worked fine (but wore out in a very different way). Overall these cables are decent (especially the shielding!), but in the end they all wear down the exact same way. Micro USB wasn't really designed to be inserted/removed so regularly (that isn't iXCC's fault), and the only way to combat the problem is to slightly increase the nubbin heights (which has its set of cons as well), or use a higher-quality metal (something reinforced). I'm giving these cables 3/5 stars, mainly because they're good cables but the micro USB end wears down too quickly. I'd had hoped for at least a year.

It's good quality and long, which is what I needed it to be. Now I can relax anywhere in my home without worrying if I'm going to pull the cord out of its socket.

Update: I purchased two of these USB cables at separate times. One of them is defective in that it doesn't fit securely into my phone or tablet ports. It does charge but it's easy to pull out. I didn't catch the problem in time to return it. I had been using the one that works well.
I had purchased the other for backup. When I started to use the backup more regularly, I noticed that it was losing connection. Upon closer investigation, I realized that the smaller prong was loose. I jerry-rigged it to make it work, but of course, I shouldn't have to do that. Therefore I'm lowering my rating from five to three stars.

Outstanding Longevity for the Cost

I bought one 10ft cable from iXCC about 5 years ago. I'm only having to replace the cable now, because I dropped my phone while charging it and the phone landed diagonally on the micro USB plug. Even then the cable still works, it just needs to be held at a very specific angle.

For the first two years I used the cable as a power cord for Xbox One wireless controller (don't have to worry about batteries that way). For the last three years it's been my go to phone cable. Over the years the retention studs on the micro plug did get so worn down that they did not reliably hold the plug in the phone's port, but that is to be expected.

I suspect this cable was actually intended for industrial use rather than for commercial use, because this cable is quite a bit thicker and more robust than your typical phone charging cable. After breaking the micro plug I decided to do some overly ridiculous stress testing. By hanging the cable over a pull-up bar we found that this cable is capable of supporting the body weight of two adult males without breaking (approx. 350lbs combined). Afterwards the plug was held at a very specific angle in a phone and it was able to charge the phone. :)

For the cost I got way more use out of this than I thought I would.

Seemed to work ok at first. But after about a week the part that plugged into my kindle wouldn't stay in very well, and it would stop charging even while plugged in--until I jiggled the cord to get the charging to start again. Then after about a month that metal connector piece completely fell off the charge cord. Very disappointing, but at least I didnt buy two cords. Would not recommend to anyone, and will not purchase again.

I was sent a replacement cord FREE OF CHARGE (EVEN THE SHIPPING WAS FREE). The replacement chord is working very well, but I am being extremely gentle and careful with it to be extra safe.
