I love this album. This is my first Mike Snow Album I got hooked with Genghis Khan and then locked in by Back of the Car, but the entire album is great. It is a new sound that mixes soul/rock/rap with electronica and it is just amazing completely new and totally worth the purchase. I am sold and look forward to more.

Watch the charts for this one. Miike Snow is rewriting the narrative for alt/electronic rock. Super groovy and expertly produced! As a professional producer, I have to say this is a breath of fresh air from the drivel coming out of the mainstream labels. Hope to hear more soon. This is playing non-stop in my studio right now.

I have been a fan of Miike Snow for a while now, and am happy to see them continue evolving. Ghengis Kahn is a great song (and video), but the album as a whole shows a variety of songs that transcend age and genre. If you are looking for more of the same from their first 2 albums, then you will probably be disappointed. iii stands on its own. It is a bit more pop then the previous two, but a good listen from beginning to end. iii, like Miike Snow as a group is just good music; free of preconceptions and the pressure of trying to be anything...It just is.

A departure from their previous albums, iii is a glorious exploration of multiple styles within the genre invoking everything from house influence to Imogen Heap to a feel good dance number in Genghis Khan. If you like their previous work but want to go on a journey with Miike Snow as they delve into the finer points of the genre, you won't be disappointed.

Unlike the previous albums, where every song was memorable, only 5/11 tracks stand out and are on heavy rotation. While it's a solid listen, I'd suggest you stream it (Prime Member) twice before you decide to purchase.

Personal favorites:
2. The Heart of Me
3. Genghis Khan
4. Heart Is Full
6. I Feel the Weight
8. Lonely Life

Genuinely fun, catchy, danceable, Miike Snow. Sure, it's a bit more mainstream than the prior two albums, but that's OK. I haven't been disappointed. This has been on repeat since the day it came out.

When I played Miike Snow's first album for people on jobsites, it turned a lot of heads. What is this poppy yet interesting and genuinely elegant music, was the general theme I got from people. These people were old and young, independent and mainstream music lovers, it transcended them all. With Happy to You(2nd album), some heads were turning but not as many. With this album almost all that was good is gone. If you just want formulaic pop tunes that focus on a catchy chourus, here you go. Definitely a more mainstream attempt at being unique, instead of mastering uniqueness to create something memorable.

The music collection of iii by Miike Snow contains a blend of indie rock and electronic music. I admit that Genghis Khan is one of my favorite songs on this collection (especially after first hearing it on a local rock radio station less than 2 and a half months ago)because of its catchy beat and hilarious online music video that is an interesting story plot within itself. However, I admit that I would watch any other online music videos that came from this iii collection even if the video was different from any of the songs that initially caught my attention from the collection such as Back of The Car, Heart Is Full feat. Run The Jewels, Over and Over etc.
