Wow! Finally, a company/brand that gets it. Some of us don't feel like making espresso or coffee in the morning. We get tired of driving to our nearest coffee shop. We don't want to buy Espresso Doubleshots from the grocery because, even the light version has calories and fat (plus disgusting Sucralose - Splenda). "illy issimo Caffe - No sugar" is exactly what is says it is. a 6.8 oz can of brewed Espresso with no artificial sweetners, no milk, no cream, nothing. It has 15 calories per can...thats because Coffee beans do have oil on them and contain some calories. Each can has around 150mg Caffiene (I cannot recall). That is 150 mg in 6.8 oz of espresso. Basically, just over the caffiene amount of a dopio (double) espresso from a major coffee chain. I can add my own non-fat milk and be set, add some cold water and ice if I want...even add some PureVia or Truvia (Stevia Type Zero Calorie Sweetener) which is all natural and much better for you (with no after taste). I can add whatever I want. I basically can put into my body, exactly what I want to; let's not forget the convenience factor of grabbing a can, as you run out the door, and downing it in the car. Best thing I've ever found on Amazon!!! Life is now complete...I don't even have to leave the house to get good iced espresso. By the way...the drink I normally get at "The Bux" is about $3.45. A 12-pack on here is $25.00 currently. If I drink 1 a day, for 36 days - That would cost $75.00. If I go to my favorite coffee house for 36 days - It would cost around $125.00. I don't think there is a question as to cheaper, more convenient, and better.

A neurotic New Yorker finds the perfect iced coffee

I admit it, I am an iced coffee snob. I have been drinking iced coffee for over 30 years. I drink it 365 days of the year, even in the dead of the New York City winter.

Over the 30 years, I have been tinkering with the best way to make a perfect glass of iced coffee. First you need to start with a great premium blend of coffee. It needs to be brewed double or triple strength so as not to be diluted by the ice cubes. My preferred way of preparing the ice coffee is the cold-pressed method using a French press . Then the coffee needs to be refrigerated or brought to room temperature before adding ice cubes. The biggest mistake you can make is by brewing your coffee and putting ice cubes in while it's still hot. i'm still amazed that some coffee shops serve their ice coffee this way; it's watered-down slush.

I will only drink my iced coffee with half-and-half or heavy cream. Milk in my mind destroys what could be the perfect glass of iced coffee. I add some sweetener, then the ice cubes. Then top it off with a straw and I'm in iced coffee heaven.

For years I have been preparing the coffee in various ways, and found that the French press method/cold press is my preferred way. But then I stumbled across these delightful Illy cans of coffee. I was humbled that there was a coffee that was close to, and actually better, than the one that I prepared on my own. This is hands-down, the best ice coffee ever. I go through over 90 cans of this a month. Thank goodness for subscribe and save so I can have my recurring delivery and save some money. One can, with ice and half-and-half and it makes a full glass of iced coffee. I prefer the illy with sugar version, but buy the unsweetened version and add some Stevia when I'm trying to watch my weight. I seriously don't know what I would do if Illy stopped making this. Yes, not only am I a coffee snob but I guess I am a bit of a neurotic New Yorker who needs her coffee, and needs it perfect.

UPDATED - I would have given these a four star, based on flavor alone. Tempting to not give it a good shaking lol but right out of the fridge, these are wonderfully convenient and pretty yummy... without a lot of added fluff (in terms of cream and flavoring, etc).

The ingredients listed in the description and photographs do show the last ingredient to be Carageenan, so my bad on missing that. I deducted a star anyway because of the health risks it can bring.

So I still gave it 3 stars because, comparatively speaking, considering the competition of what else is out there for canned coffee, this stuff is great.

Regretfully, I am cancelling our subscription until this or another brand come out with one that loses the Carageenan.

Lastly, this was delivered by Amazon and every can in our delivery was dented, not too terribly but small dents on every can, on almost every side. This was a first for us, we left packaging feedback. Hopefully just because it was delivered with other subscription items but even then, it doesn't usually happen with other canned items they send us. Counting it as an isolated event, stuff happens.

*Thanks to the comment left below~ I'll be trying illy's bottled version next. Cost currently being almost double here on Amazon but, if it's Carageenan free, I think it'd be worth trying...

Very convenient, a little pricey

If you love espresso, but are always on the run, this is a great product. I am a huge coffee drinker, and this, plus the other version with low fat milk, and a little sugar, are both great. I love the option to grab this, black and unsweetened, or the if in the mood, the lightly sweetened version, when running around with no time to brew my own. The quality is very high, and I gave this 4 stars, instead of 5, only because it is very expensive. If the high price is offset by the convenience, as it is for me, give this, or actually any of the illy coffees a try, they are all great. Also, travels with you very easily, as a few of the 6.8 ounce size cans can go in a briefcase, or any bag with ease.

A nice alternative to Starbuck's ubiquitous iced products in a easily storable manner

I was looking for an alternate for the Starbucks Doubleshot to squirrel away in my desk drawer at work for those afternoon yawns and these Illy Cappuccino drinks fit nicely. Considerably less cloying sugar and a mellow taste without being over dairy, they help with afternoon slumps without the cattle prod zap of a Red Bull or similar product. Treat yourself!
