There are a lot of different settings that you can change on both TVs, however the samsung tv has more apps, not sure if that's a deciding factor for you but good luck on your decision.

I went with the Samsung. Both are great but feel like I am getting more for my money with Samsung. Plus, I have the Sony apps with my Bluray so I feel like I am getting best of both companies. Guy at Best Buy didn't blink when I asked him which was better. Samsung, no question. Others have stated the same thing. Pictures on both very good.
