Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonCustomers say
Customers praise the flashlight's brightness, with one noting its astonishingly uniform beam, and appreciate its versatility, with one mentioning it can be used in both tactical and outdoor modes. However, the functionality receives mixed reviews - while some say it stays charged for a long time, others report it drains quickly and the side button stops working after 3 days. Moreover, durability is a concern as it barely lasts 3 months and isn't resistant to drops, and customers find it gets hot during use. While some consider it good value for the price, others feel it's not worth the cost.

Phenomenal Light, Great Spill, & quality, lights up EVERYTHING! Functionality & lockouts are superb!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2020This is a quality product, very pleased with the Craftsmanship & functionality of this light. The features & extra spill are what sets this light apart from others. I had to play with it a little as the directions & actual functions didn't quite match up but not a big deal. It's a light, not rocket science :).
The brightness is great, this is my go to light of I want to light up EVERYTHING! the beam is certainly good but the 4000 lumens comes from a couple levels of "spill". You will certainly see everything in front of you, not just some small beam or "hotspot". This sucker is gonna light up everything far & wide, low & high. For that reason, this light is perfect for when you need to see more than just a small area. The beam is still good though & you get a good deal of throw considering the pattern is so wide. You'd almost think you were dealing with multiple LEDs the way the spill seems to be very bright while still staying focused for a considerable distance. 5/5 for brightness
The carrying case is very nice, & comes with a quality 21700 battery (not proprietary) & extra seal. Clip on side is also quality. So 5/5 for all that as well.
Functionality is great, you can turn it on/off, by both the tail switch, the tactical switch or the side switch, 3x options with different shortcuts. Plus your strobe & sos of course. Can be charged with battery inside the light, nice occasionally when your packing or etc & don't have a battery charger station. Has the button AND tail switch lock out, no worries accidently turning it on in your pack! As far as functionality goes, I can't think of anything else you could possibly want in a tactical light, it's a solid 5/5 on functionality.
Quality is great, seals are good, nice design, hard not to love this light! For comparison, I put it up against my FENIX TK22UE Which is an amazing 1600 lumen EDC "thrower", & originally I planned to send one of them back, depending on which one I liked better. Well long story short, I can't part with either one! I consider my FENIX my indispensable EDC, but the KLARUS was so good, I had to keep it too! This would also easily compete with the new OLIGHT M2R Warrior pro, & is much better I think because you are NOT committed to using olights BS proprietary battery & charging system. They are just slightly different animals.... Both use the same CREE LED, cost about the same & are constructed similarly with the same warranty.
So if you're looking for a "thrower" for distance, with more minimal spill, you might like the FENIX TK22UE better, but if you like more functionality & incredible layered spill with a nice Beam that just lights up EVERYTHING in your path in all directions, you absolutely can't go wrong with this KLARUS, It's amazing & is incredibly bright all around, the beam, the spill, & the outter layer, everything. Hard to believe it's just one LED. They did a great job with this light, that's why it's now my go to light for woods, caves, anything like that where you need to see more than just a small "Hotspot" in the distance.
The only thing I wish they had included is a 18650 cap for this, so I could run those batteries when needed without purchasing it separate but that's getting pretty picky, you can pick those up for a few bucks.
5/5 all day long

- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2021I have a few other flashlights from Surefire, Nitecore, Fenix, and Eagletac. I was looking for a more general use light rather than a tactical light. After a few days, this Klarus XT21X has become my new general use flashlight (in outdoor mode).
It is a CW, but not enough blue tint to matter... unless I'm working on something where I need more accurate color renditions. The beam profile is mostly floody with a noticeable hot spot. I would recommend this for use under 100 meters... if for prolonged periods of time, under 50 meters at the "normal" modes. I suggest a flashlight with more of a hot spot for longer distances.
Indoors, I really like the 100 lumen mode. It is bright enough to illuminate the room for most intents and purposes, and at that level the battery lasts a LONG time. The brighter modes are nice for identifying things a little further out or for an occasional use for seeing things 50-100 meters away. The floodiness works well for working on things under 15 yards and illuminating an area. It has enough of a hot spot with a nice transition into a bright spill to not be distracting when walking down a dark pathway, while still reaching out a little further than flashlights that are mostly flood.
I like the two switches on the tail cap for switching mode. I'll also add, I like the side button reverse mode vs the tail cap mode button. This way I can (in outdoor mode) put on the 5 lumen ultra-low, move up to a higher mode, and if it's too high, the side switch lets me bump it back down without having to cycle through all of the modes to get it back to where I want it. The main tail cap button is TURBO only, as well as momentary TURBO, which I also like.
Be aware, it needs a high amp battery, so if you get a spare or two, make sure their spec allows for 15+ Amps CONTINUOUS current. Also, it's not advised to use CR123's, and they do not include an adapter if that matters to anyone. I tried it with 2xCR123's and an unapproved adapter and only got the three lowest modes. Try at your own risk... I just wanted to see if it would work. I also tried an 18650 to 21700 adapter (not included) with an old LG 18650 (LGDBHG21865; 20 Amp) I had laying around and it worked fine... although I only ran it for a couple seconds in each mode so try at your own risk.
Some other notes:
It can tail stand on a level surface, but will fall over with a any movement. It does not lockout with the tail cap so there will always be a little parasitic drain (if you loosen the tail cap over 180 degrees, the side button still works but the tail cap buttons do not). The 40 mm Nitecore color filter cap will fit over the bezel. There is a spring on the head and tail cap, and I'm pretty sure it will work with flat top 21700's (I don't have any to try).
The lowest mode is 5 lumen, so no true moonlight mode, but great for reading a map or paperwork in the dark. In "outdoor" mode, you can start the flashlight at this 5 lumen level with a long press on either mode switch. If the flashlight is pointed straight ahead from waste height, the spill starts around 5-6 feet in front of you, so if you're walking down a dirt or rocky path with the light aimed ahead, you probably won't see what's directly at your feet without angling the light down a little... some people prefer this, some people don't, depending on their use.
Last, it is definitely bulkier than many of the newer 21700 lights. I would not consider this a light to toss in a pants pocket. Even in the holster on a belt, it takes up more space, if that's a concern to anyone.

Cliente AmazonReviewed in Italy on December 22, 20235.0 out of 5 stars Libretto Istruzioni non chiaro, e poco esaustivo

yann verstraetenReviewed in Belgium on August 25, 20244.0 out of 5 stars Puissante et solide

FloReviewed in France on March 30, 20255.0 out of 5 stars Un vrai projecteur de poche : puissance, robustesse, et respect.
