A native of Kansas City, famous for its steak and barbecue, Victoria Moran defied the odds by going vegan over thirty years ago and writing thirteen books -- so far -- on topics including veganism, well-being, and spirituality. Cited by VegNews among the Top 10 Living Vegetarian Authors, she’s written twelve books including Main Street Vegan, Fit from Within, The Love-Powered Diet, and Creating a Charmed Life. Her next book, The Main Street Vegan Academy Cookbook, coauthored with JL Fields, will be published in December 2017 and is available for preorder now.
Featured twice on Oprah, Victoria hosts the award-winning Main Street Vegan podcast, and directs Main Street Vegan Academy, an exciting in-person program in NYC that trains and certifies Vegan Lifestyle Coaches and Educators. She is also producer of Thomas Wade Jackson's upcoming (January 2018) documentary, The Compassion Project, introducing the vegan lifestyle to people of faith. And she is serving this year as Peta's Sexiest Vegan Over 50.
Victoria lives in New York City with her husband and their rescue-dog, Forbes. Her grown-up daughter and Main Street Vegan coauthor, Adair Moran, is a lifelong vegan and a stunt performer, who encouraged her mom to take up aerial yoga to celebrate turning sixty-five.
