I am a frequent user of timers at work. I have yet to find the perfect timer for my needs. I am considering learning programming just to make it. That said this comes close.

Pros
-multiple saved times, easily accessible
-easily switched to stopwatch
-easy to program and save new timers
-nicely configurable

cons
-I can not figure out how to turn off the voice announcement of the length of time
-to start each timer you have to click on the timer, then find the teeny tiny start button, which is in the edit screen
-when it is done it goes back to the main screen with all of the timers, so you have to go through this process repeatedly if you are using the same timer over and over

Recommendations
-A larger separate start button for the timers, or start them from the main screen
-There is a nice screen when the timer is done. This should be the screen that shows up when you touch a timer, there should be a LARGE start button, and smaller pause reset buttons.
-I like to configure colors and stuff, but that isn't really important
-An option (or more obvious option) to get rid of the voice announcement.

I cannot attest to some of the other reviewed comments abt this app not working on the Kindle Fire. Perhaps they had an earlier version. I got mine around the June 2012 timeframe if you want a time stamp and this app works great for me. I use it as an alarm clock, minder for taking medication, and for the kids (ie sharing timer and potty timer). I've customized ringtones using my music and the App has never crashed on me. It more thsn exceeded my expectations.

P.S. Having worked in IT, especially in relation to laptops, one reason for crashes is always been the lack of available memory. If Apps are crashing often, then perhsps you should check available space for Apps and for on device memory. If you have less than abt 15% of space available in either then you may not be leaving your device enough room to read/write and maintain error free functionality. So use the cloud to de-install a few of your memory hogging game apps (they'll be available in the cloud) and simply re-indtall them when needed. I know we all like to load our devices up, but all devices snd even people need space and operating room to function well.

This app is a stellar piece of programming. It has so many features that it boggles the mind. The graphics are beautiful, the options are endless, and the voice used to announce the alerts sounds cooler than Siri.

And before you assume that the app is lacking a feature (like I did, bad user) check out the Preference Menu. The option is probably set somewhere in there. You can customize things like Timer Sort preference, and Timer Tap Settings. The timer tap settings will allow you to tap once on the timer to start/stop it instead of pulling up the control menu (which is the default).

I also liked the log export feature. I was able to export it and email the .csv file to myself.

The only thing that I can nit-pick about this app is that the menu icons are not very intuitive. It took me a while to figure out what each icon did. Especially the Sort Icon on the timer page. That one had me stumped for a while. And the only bug I found (using on a Kindle Fire HD) was that the app froze when I tried to select a custom icon picture from my shared library.

So this is probably one of the most useful apps I encountered so far, and one that I will actually keep on my Kindle.

A lot, apparently - more than I ever would have guessed.

First of all I tried this on my 1st gen Kindle Fire and have yet to have a problem. Some features like vibration are obviously not going to work, and you have to remember that for an alarm to go off, you need to put the Fire to sleep, rather than powering it off.

So, feature-wise, the first thing you see is basically an unlimited number of timers you can set up and operate simultaneously. Unlike a simple timer where you'd just set the duration every time you start the app, here your timers are remembered, so if you have a regular event you need to time, your setup work is minimized. This might be useful for a teacher, for example.

For each timer you have saved you can choose an icon and a descriptive title, and set the usual features such as whether to vibrate and what sound to play. You can also have the timer repeat automatically at a specified interval. There's a mysterious trigger function I haven't been able to determine the use of, yet. There's a quick-set button that lets you quickly create and start a timer with a handful of common times, but I wish it would be removed from your list of timers after you stop it (at least, optionally).

The timer has a snooze function; when a timer is going off you can have it pause its alarm for a predefined amount of time. I can see this being useful. Sometimes I have a timer going off and can't deal with it right then and need another reminder in a few minutes.

The app also sports an alarm clock mode.
