    To start this off, Hasbro announces that they are putting a “pause” on this figure line for the foreseeable future, with the possibility of revisiting it at some point (I mean a Power Man figure with no Iron Fist? Be real…). Big disappointment, but what a way to go out, at least at first glance. To begin with I first started seeing the price for this as a pre-order on Amazon at $25. I held off... I then actually found this “in the wild” at Target for $33. I held off… It was difficult, but I held off… I didn’t really have the disposable income to buy this yet and I was hoping the pre-order price would still be $25 by the time it became available. Fat chance of that. This figure/vehicle combo’s pre-order price kept jumping up, eventually exceeding what I would have paid at Target. I was getting pretty disgusted because in my area, Ghost Rider was no longer anywhere to be found, so I felt like I should have jumped on it when I had the chance. A few more weeks go by and this figure was suddenly no longer a pre-order and was actually available in stock! This was a little more than a week before it was supposed to be released on Amazon on June 1st. The price, to my surprise, actually came down, not to the $25 it started out as, but it did come down where I couldn’t wait to order it any longer.

    So I ordered it, it arrived, and now the review of what I purchased…

    First off, the presentation for this is excellent! Even though we can no longer see the actual product due to the discontinuing of clear plastic, the product images and the classic artwork on this box is first rate. To be honest, when I watched a few unboxing videos of this I was in full agreement with the enthusiasm that was being conveyed. After opening it myself, while I did enjoy this as a whole, and the Ghost Rider figure was great looking with his classic 70’s/80s look and coloring, after seeing the motorcycle, while impressed, it wasn’t to that great of a degree. If anyone reading this had ever owned the Evel Knievel stunt cycle back in the late 70s, Ghost Rider’s bike reminds me of that in concept. That’s where the comparison ends because that classic motorcycle was really nice. This bike, while fairly faithful to the classic comic book design looks like an inexpensively made piece of red plastic with wheels. It has the look and feel of something created on someone’s home 3D printer and assembled. There is just something not very professional looking about it. There is not a lot more that can be said about it, and I’m not going to go on some flowery smoke-blowing diatribe like most of the unboxing videos about this that I’ve seen. Go on everyone’s favorite social media video platform and watch these videos. Pay attention to how the people talking this product up begin to stall, stutter, and stumble when they get to the motorcycle. Folks, this whole product looks to be designed to be played with by 4 to 8 year olds, yet being priced for the adult collector. It’s a strange combination. I actually LIKE the motorcycle, all except the ridiculous flaming skull stickers that were never on the bike in the comics, but I can still overlook that. If the buyer is spending upwards of $30 just to hand this over to his/her young children to be harshly played with (like WE used to, but the products were less expensive), then I applaud the fact that the buyer is in such a wonderful financial position where disposable income can just be flushed away once products like this get damaged or ruined. How lucky those children must be.

    I know that when it has come to this retro line that I have been blown away each and every time, even though for the most part, the bodies are all the same with different head sculpts and paint. I suppose that because of the box art, and this being the end (at least for now) of this line that I was expecting more “bang for my buck”, so-to-speak. Maybe I should look at it like this… If the figures were simplistic in design, then why should the only vehicle be any different? $20 to $25 I could see… I could rationalize, but anything above that? Well, it’s the buyer’s money, and the resellers and scalpers who are jacking the price up on this to unreasonable amounts are just waiting to take it. I will still enjoy this being in my collection regardless.

    The product itself… including the packaging presentation, the Ghost Rider figure himself, and the even the motorcycle… I will give all of that 5 Stars! The price fluctuation before it was ever released on Amazon, and the ultimate end price when it finally WAS in stock cost it a star resulting in a total review of 4 stars!

Das Design ist, soweit ich es beurteilen kann, authentisch und auch das Motorrad funktioniert klasse. Im Grund handelt es sich um ein hervorragendes Spielzeug. Der Preis spricht für mich aber fast eher für ein Sammlerstück. Das rote Motorrad ist aus einem etwas härteren und leichteren Kunststoff und wirkt so etwas weniger wertig als die Figur, dennoch auf einem hohen Niveau, denn auch hier erkenne ich, abgesehen vom Gewicht keine Schwächen. 🔸 [Design & Authentizität] ✔️ Ich muss zugeben, dass ich Ghost-Rider nicht aus meiner Kindheit und darum eher nur aus der Verfilmung mit Nicolas Cage kenne. Dennoch erkennte ich die Figur klar als Ghost-Rider und eine kurze Internetrecherche bestätigt mir, dass auch das recht schrille Farbschema mit den Primärfarben dem Design aus den Originalcomics entspricht. Ich bewerte das Design damit, im Rahmen meiner Möglichkeiten, als authentisch. 🔸 [Beweglichkeit & Stehvermögen] (✔️) Für eine Action-Figur ist Ghost-Rider durchschnittlich beweglich. Die Arme lassen sich an den schultern drehen und auch die Handgelenke sind drehbar. Zusätzlich lassen sich die beiden Beine unabhängig bewegen. Kniegelenke und Elenbogen sind unbeweglich und auch der Kopf ist nicht drehbar (was wegen des Kragens auch kaum Sinn gemacht hätte). Damit erfüllt man für mich das Soll, beeindruckt bin ich allerdings nicht. Am Motorrad sind beide Räder und die Lenkachse beweglich, außerdem kann ein Ständer ausgeklappt werden, durch den das Bike auch gut steht. Die Figur steht ebenfalls, trotz recht kleiner Füße sehr gut, hat aber bei weichen Untergründen, wie Teppich Schwierigkeiten auf den Beinen zu bleiben. Anzumerken ist noch, dass die Figur gut auf dem Sattel sitzt und sich auch mit beiden Händen am Lenker festhalten kann. 🔸 [Ensemble & Spielen] ✔️ Man erhält den (Anti-)Helden Ghost-Rider, sowie sein Fahrzeug. Damit lassen sich kleinere Spritztouren und auch Kunststücke spielen, insgesamt ist das Set alleinstehend aber eher unvollständig, da ein Antagonist fehlt. Glücklicherweise findet sich in jeder Spielkiste eine Kreatur gegen die der gute Ghost-Rider antreten kann, insofern funktioniert das Spielset super, solange Sie zumindest irgendeine andere Spielfigur besitzen. 💜 Vielen Dank fürs Lesen.
    In meiner Jugend habe ich die Marvel-Comics und Animationsserien verschlungen und natürlich schaffte es so mancher Marvel-Held in meine Spielfiguren-Kiste. Mittlerweile teste ich regelmäßig Spielzeuge, häufig ähnliche Superhelden-Actionfiguren, für Amazon oder spiele mit meiner Tochter.
    Das vorliegende Exemplar des Ghost Rider schnitt bei meinem Test sehr gut ab. Es handelt sich um eine hochwertige und sehr bewegliche und handliche Action-Figur. Das Design ist, soweit ich es beurteilen kann, authentisch und auch das Motorrad funktioniert klasse.
    Im Grund handelt es sich um ein hervorragendes Spielzeug. Der Preis spricht für mich aber fast eher für ein Sammlerstück.
    Einen Kauf kann ich also empfehlen, wenn sie Retro-Actionhelden sammeln oder ihren Kindern eine hochwertige aber nicht ganz billige Ghost-Rider-Figur schenken möchten.

    Die Figur ist aus mittelhartem und glatten Kunststoff, ohne Anzeichen geringer Qualität, wie beispielsweise Geruch oder Kunststoffreste. Selbstverständlich sind auch keine Fehler oder Schäden erkennbar. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist absolut fehlerlos und so haben alle Gelenke einen optimalen Widerstand.
