From the Author
This is a troubled childhood memoir, but it isn't all sad. I was sexually abused. My mother was a young drug addict. I could be called "bipolar." I wrote the memoir after my dad died, wanting to create some kind of closure for a part of me that I felt had been lopped off upon my parent's death. My story was healing to write and I hope it helps others who have carried troubled childhoods to feel that they're not alone.
From the Back Cover
My mother named me after a sad Dylan song, a song of loss and bittersweet memory. The song could have set the tune for my life, with cries of Gypsy violin and harmonica. Instead it gave me solace, a sad music place where I felt at home.
