Good - basic. No big probs. Wires ends are molded and may pull out if you don't grab the mold part... but that's what you're supposed to do. One wasn't molded rithe (see pic). All good tho. Glad I bought it.

First of all - a breadboard should be for people who either know what they’re doing, or want to learn.

There are a number of stupid 1 star reviews like - “Wires came out with first use“.

EXCUSE ME???? This is for setting up a trial/prototype circuit. The wires are meant to go in and come out easily.

Or - “TINY” - Duh!

READ THE DISCRIPTION - Dimensions: 84 x 55mm (3.31" x 2.15").
That’s just over 3 1/4 inches long.
That’s just over 2 inches wide.

**Here’s what you need to know if you’re going to order this board.**

1)If you’re going to do a lot of prototyping or experimenting, get a bigger board. The  RioRand 9440 Breadboard-Prototype Design Aid  would be a very good choice. Please note that this small board is only $6+, the RioRand9440 is almost $30.

2)This is mass produced to sell at the lowest price. Some of the wires *are* a little hard to insert *the first time*. After one or two times, they go in easily enough.

3) On some of the holes, the wires feel too loose. This concerned me so I used a multimeter to test about 30 loose holes. No problem, wiggling the wires in the holes didn't make it loose continuity..

So, cheap, yes.
Usable, yes.
REAL problems found, no.

Just don't pi$$ and moan when you buy the cheapest product around, and then find that it isn't absolutely perfect.

It **IS** good enough for a small, quick, prototype. It’s CHEAP enough that if you don’t use it again - no big deal.

And people who do a lot of what this board is made for, aren't going to buy this one, they’ll spend a lot more money on a better one.

I bought it for my Arduino projects - I did not buy a kit, but Arduino Uno R3, this set of wires with bread board, motor shield and sensors. Initially I thought I can manage without the bread board and wires - make them from old electronics. But it appears that fine holes in Arduino wants fine ends of the wires. I found this particular set the most cost efficient - you get enough wires for projects with minimum price. Also, I would say that wires are very useful all around - I use to connect them to battery box, motors etc: their fine tips are pretty sturdy and solid, you can squeeze them between contacts (on motor, for instance). So, I found a lot of use for them.

Great breadboard, but smaller than you might think! The dimensions are posted in the listing so this is no fault of the product or of the seller. But if you haven't used them and are just starting out or if you are used to larger boards this will be noticeable. It does feel a little loose at the separation points and I can feel that if I put a little bit of pressure while putting in an ic chip that it would be really easy to break the board apart. Now I'm not entirely sure that this will break it or if the board will snap back together. But it is really noticeable especially at the top positive and negative rails. Other than that it's a great way to get into building circuits and testing them out.

It's a pretty good price if you want jumpers and the experiment board. Check around, its a square deal. Originally I purchased one of these sets and then another one.. So I'll have 2 reviews. Not much to say on quality they are all made the same. 2 major types of these experimenter boards.. these have removable power rails, one on each side and that can be very useful. You can interlock components and that is very useful on the fly.. The other type have single power rail on each side and they are one solid piece.. they are good when you want to screw them down to a board as they have flanged screw holes for that purpose.

These have sticky on the back.. but I wouldn't want to secure them to a larger surface because it's so useful to mix and match components to suit your momentary circuit design application. Good price for the combo.. and order something else from Microtivity while you are at it to lower your shipping cost overall. Good deals really.

It works perfectly and I have no complants. Just to let you know though it comes with a sticky backing so you can mount it onto something more sturdy. I would not use the bord without sticking it first since it will pull apart. Yet that is also a good thing so that you can separate the power strips and the two portions of the board to give you more flexibility should you wish to mount them apart.

For the price I love it. Beats $15 for a non flexible use board.

If you are looking to make your RaspPie into more than a xmbc you need one of these. I currently have one running a mumble server, one as an xmbc for media streaming from my server, and one monitoring my brewery and sending me emails if there is a change in temp ect. I havnt really used every port on this guy yet but it working great so far

Other thought: I hope to run one of these in conjunction with my main media server as a automated power swtich with remote capabilities from remote power ons to help conserve some energy.
