How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

As far as I can tell, this is the only vendor for this type of card because miniSD cards didn't last long before the microSD cards came out. As a device, it works well on my Motorola Q9c so I have no complaints. It is a bit pricey though.

I just upgraded to a Motorola Q9C phone from Verizon Wireless, and I didn't want to tack on a super expensive data plan to surf the web and get my emails. The Spectec SDW-825 card really fits the bill for this phone. I chose this version because it has 802.11g and thus better reception in most areas.
This card is very small, as you would expect from a MiniSD device. However, it is larger than a usual MiniSD form factor and thus it sticks out of the slot on the phone, making it impossible to close the cap that covers the slot. It's not a huge issue for me, as I just pop it in to surf the web and pop it back out to put my storage card in. Because it sticks out, you can see a small led on the card that blinks green when accessing a wireless network.
Installation is very straightforward, although the drivers were not really correct on the CD attached to the package. I went online to Spectec's website, which had updated drivers for this device on Windows Mobile 6.1. They also have instructions how to install the card. It was easier than I thought, I just popped in the card and installed the device driver, and it immediately picked up multiple hotspots, including my own, and I was able to put in the encrypted password and get online right away. Then, I installed the Skyfire mobile browser, which acts just like a desktop browser on a mobile phone, and I can even go to Hulu.com and watch HD videos on the phone!
I carry my phone around my campus, where we have Wifi everywhere, and it works flawlessly. Never had problems with reception, although I had trouble connecting to a network once where there were two available hotspots with the same name. Then i downloaded Wififofum on the phone and was able to connect easily.
The price is a bit high for this model, but you make it back within three months as opposed to paying for a data plan. And it's definitely faster if you have wireless networks everywhere you go, like I do.

Ok now what the, the title blatantly SCREAMS: THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY MOTOROLA Q PHONE, yet the 2 reviewers say "works like a charm" "omg amazing" now can someone please tell me how exactly did they make the supposed non working card into a working card? I really want to buy this card but the conflicting information and just dropping a 50 dollar bomb that might go dud is not fun, any info as to where they bought their motoq cards would be greatly apreciated.
