The Samsung Galaxy S III juice pack case virtually doubles the Galaxy's battery time by housing a 2300 mAh battery. It’s one of the slimmest S III battery cases on the market, yet the juice pack’s comfortable, ergonomic design and tough, light-weight materials fully protect your phone. There’s no need to give up any features or functions, because the juice pack lets you easily access all of the Galaxy’s controls and keeps your ports, buttons, speakers, camera and flash free from obstruction. Keep sharing through touch, since our case won’t interfere with your phone’s NFC or S Beam capability. All mophie hardware products, including clearance and refurbished products, carry a one-year Limited Warranty from date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. I am a software engineer and a computer technician. I was an iPhone person from 2007 until the iPhone 5 came out. When my battery started to take a dump, since an iPhone battery is not "user-replaceable", you either send it off for expensive and inconvenient service, or replace the phone. That is unacceptable. Long story short, I had a Mophie Juice Pack for my iPhone 4s, and my mother-in-law is still using it, nearly two years later. The iPhone Mophie is awesome. And the GS3 switch has been a wonderful and beneficial change for me.

So when the Galaxy Mophie came out, even though Samsung made the very wise choice of including a user-replaceable battery, it's kind of weird toting extra batteries around. My battery will occasionally drain for no apparent reason, but my Mophie for my GS3 keeps me in contact with the world. I do enjoy the option of easily and affordably replacing my internal battery, but the Mophie has made that unnecessary.

It's a bit heavy and bulky, but so is any protective case. Ironically, the phone manufacturers tout how slim and light their phones are -- without protection. But who uses them like that? The GS3 Mophie Juice Pack provides solid, adequate protection at a size that's a little larger than the generic rubber casing I used to have. I've dropped it a few times, on carpets and in parking lots, and the case and my phone are still fully intact and looking pretty good. I do like it a little heavier because it reminds me my phone is still there and hasn't been left somewhere or lifted from my pocket.

The Juice Pack seemed a little slick at first, but after a week or two, it seems to have lost the slickness (a good thing).

I would've loved to grab the white version, but since it had terrible reviews I grabbed the black Mophie Juicepack for my SIII. I actually got the SIII because of Mophie's reputation and the fact that the SIII is one of the few Android phones they make a battery case for.

I'm so glad I did. Both the Juicepack and the phone itself perform amazingly. When I use the charger properly, I can be unplugged for 24 hours, spend 4 hours talking, 2 hours texting, and 4-6 hours of general app usage split evenly between 4G and Wifi, and still have some juice left over. Additionally, the pack is Sturdy, doesn't add too much weight, attaches and detaches easily, and the buttons work with a high quality and great responsiveness. My suggestion? Go read all the terrible reviews and comments on the white version, and then come back here knowing the OPPOSITE is true with this model and ORDER IT IMMEDIATELY!

This product is Absolutely 100% worth the investment.

In general day to day use, I leave the pack on to conserve my cell phone battery and I can expect the juice pack to last about a day with minimal usage of my phone. Minimal usage means turning off everything and then using wifi on for about 30 minutes spread throughout the day to check my email and general web browsing. This allows me to have my S3 battery as a back-up in case I get stuck somewhere. This feels low considering the Mophie battery is larger than the S3 battery.

Despite the premium price, the Mophie Juice Pack doesn't have the feel of its $100 price. The plastic feels cheap and gets slippery after extended use. It is difficult to guide the phone into the USB plug and the top doesn't line up with the bottom along its seams. There isn't enough space around the headphone jack to plug in headphones with large plugs. The side buttons are very cheap. The power button on my case was locked inward which forced the phone into a endless reboot cycle after I inserted the phone into the case - I had to rip out the Mophie's side button with a pair of pliers just to stop the reboot cycle and be able to use my phone. Not what I'd expect for a $100 phone case!

I am very disappointed by the Mophie Juice Pack. It appears to be a $20 battery covered by a cheap $10 plastic case with 10 cent buttons that sells for $100. The fact that I can't plug in headphones with large plugs and that the buttons can lock your phone into a endless reboot cycle makes the high price tough to swallow. Especially considering that I can get a 4200mAh Hyperion battery case for $30.

Pros
Can power your Galaxy S3 for a full day
Protective case that covers the whole phone

Cons
Expensive!
Not good value for money - cheap construction and bad button design
Other cases available at lower prices with similar capabilities

This case is a fantastic buy for anyone who likes to use their phone for surfing the web, email/texting, and playing games as well as making phone calls. I exhaust my phone battery before turning on the mophie case and some days I don't need it at all while others I need the charge in the evening. If I know it'll be a light usage day, I just put on my otter box instead but make sure to carry my mophie with me, just in case I need it. GREAT BUY!!

This is a good aux battery case for the Samsung Galaxy SIII, however it is extremely larger. Other reviews said it was not much larger than their generic rubber cases. I currently use an Otterbox Commuter case which adds quite a bit to the phone, so I figured it wouldn't be much more. However it adds about double from the Otterbox to this (see photos I added to the product). It does give me about double the use which is good for my international trips, and when traveling. It will charge the phone and be charged itself simultaneously, but may not be able to keep up during heavy phone use.
My Conclusion: At this price point and the additional bulk of the product I just don't see it being as useful as I had hoped. I already have an Anker 10,000mAH charger that is about the same overall size and cost less than 1/2 the price. Obviously the Anker is not a case, and you have to run a USB cable for use, but it will keep my phone charged for several days. I will probably hang on to it and use it on occasion, but if I had known the size differences originally, I probably would not have paid almost $100 for this unit.
