So when the Galaxy Mophie came out, even though Samsung made the very wise choice of including a user-replaceable battery, it's kind of weird toting extra batteries around. My battery will occasionally drain for no apparent reason, but my Mophie for my GS3 keeps me in contact with the world. I do enjoy the option of easily and affordably replacing my internal battery, but the Mophie has made that unnecessary.
It's a bit heavy and bulky, but so is any protective case. Ironically, the phone manufacturers tout how slim and light their phones are -- without protection. But who uses them like that? The GS3 Mophie Juice Pack provides solid, adequate protection at a size that's a little larger than the generic rubber casing I used to have. I've dropped it a few times, on carpets and in parking lots, and the case and my phone are still fully intact and looking pretty good. I do like it a little heavier because it reminds me my phone is still there and hasn't been left somewhere or lifted from my pocket.
The Juice Pack seemed a little slick at first, but after a week or two, it seems to have lost the slickness (a good thing).Read more ›
I'm so glad I did. Both the Juicepack and the phone itself perform amazingly. When I use the charger properly, I can be unplugged for 24 hours, spend 4 hours talking, 2 hours texting, and 4-6 hours of general app usage split evenly between 4G and Wifi, and still have some juice left over. Additionally, the pack is Sturdy, doesn't add too much weight, attaches and detaches easily, and the buttons work with a high quality and great responsiveness. My suggestion? Go read all the terrible reviews and comments on the white version, and then come back here knowing the OPPOSITE is true with this model and ORDER IT IMMEDIATELY!
This product is Absolutely 100% worth the investment.
Despite the premium price, the Mophie Juice Pack doesn't have the feel of its $100 price. The plastic feels cheap and gets slippery after extended use. It is difficult to guide the phone into the USB plug and the top doesn't line up with the bottom along its seams. There isn't enough space around the headphone jack to plug in headphones with large plugs. The side buttons are very cheap. The power button on my case was locked inward which forced the phone into a endless reboot cycle after I inserted the phone into the case - I had to rip out the Mophie's side button with a pair of pliers just to stop the reboot cycle and be able to use my phone. Not what I'd expect for a $100 phone case!
I am very disappointed by the Mophie Juice Pack. It appears to be a $20 battery covered by a cheap $10 plastic case with 10 cent buttons that sells for $100. The fact that I can't plug in headphones with large plugs and that the buttons can lock your phone into a endless reboot cycle makes the high price tough to swallow. Especially considering that I can get a 4200mAh Hyperion battery case for $30.
Can power your Galaxy S3 for a full day
Protective case that covers the whole phone
Not good value for money - cheap construction and bad button design
Other cases available at lower prices with similar capabilities
My Conclusion: At this price point and the additional bulk of the product I just don't see it being as useful as I had hoped. I already have an Anker 10,000mAH charger that is about the same overall size and cost less than 1/2 the price. Obviously the Anker is not a case, and you have to run a USB cable for use, but it will keep my phone charged for several days. I will probably hang on to it and use it on occasion, but if I had known the size differences originally, I probably would not have paid almost $100 for this unit.

I bought this on super sale so I'm not entirely disappointed. This never carries a full recharge as advertised. It only charges a phone on 2% battery life to about 54%. Read morePublished 6 days ago by gmg
