Hi,

I have a new 15 inch Macbook Pro Core i7 and wanted to connect it to my 42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV so i bought this moshi MiniDisplay Port to HDMI Adapter with Audio unboxed it i inserted it in my Mac then i inserted the HDMI cable into it and it immediately worked! then i went to system preference on my Mac under audio and chose to share Audio and the Audio worked 100% picture and audio quality are both excellent! and the adapter is top quality made of aluminum + plastic it feels and looks like a real Apple product i highly recommend this product to all latest generation Core i5-i7 Macbook Pro owners... please note that if you use this adapter with previous generation Macbook Pros Core 2 Due audio will not work just Video... all in all an excellent product that i highly recommend...

I bought this product at the Apple Store. Over the following 6 months, the device got progressively more finicky with the cord position to the point where it now will not work. Waste of money. Don't waste your money too.

I rarely write reviews, only when a product is extremely good or extremely bad. This MOSHI adapter works great at first, which actually made me think of giving it two stars. I purchased this item on June 14th and worked great until the Oct 3rd. At first the sound cut out about every 10 seconds. I tried to unplug and plug it back in and BOOM, it was done. Simply doesn't work anymore. I've restarted the computer, used 4 different HDMI cords on two different tvs. Its definitely the adapter. Trust me and listen to the negative reviews on this site and the MOSHI website about this product, I wish I had.

I was very delighted when I got this adapter, and it worked great for about 2 months. After that, the connector came off one day while disconnecting the adapter from the macbook pro, and the wires got exposed. I put it back together, and it continued to work for a few more times off and on, and then finally it stopped working completely. I bought this after reading so many positive reviews, and payed the extra money ($35 compared to $8-10 devices). I would not recommend this to anybody.

Lots of static right out of the box when connecting this to my new MacBook Pro 15 inch. Within two weeks, it started flickering and now barely works. Anyone know of a better product?

After 30 days the product stop working, and when I contacted Moshi they would not return any of my emails or attempts to contact them. I was highly disappointed with the product and believe apple should discontinue selling this product.

My daughter has been anxious to stream video from her new MacBook Pro to our flat screen TV. Unfortunately, none of the standard connections would work directly. I did a little research and discovered this excellent little device that converts from the Mac's mini display port to HDMI. I was a little leary at first because the new MacBooks have discontinued the mini display port and replaced it with the Thunderbolt port. Thanks to Google, I discovered the new Thunderbolt port was backwards compatible with the mini display port and this device was supposed to work in both. The only warning I saw was to make sure to use a newer HDMI cable to ensure audio worked. I added one of the Amazon basics HDMI cables AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable (9.8 Feet/3.0 Meters) - Supports Ethernet, 3D, and Audio Return [Newest Standard] to the order and I'm pleased to say the setup works like a charm.

This adapter does not last. We used about 2 times a week to stream movies from our computer and it only worked for a few months.
