The unit is a bit bulkier than pocket-sized, as one might expect of a charger with this capacity, so it won't exactly fit in most people's pants. However, you can throw it in a suitcase, backpack, or briefcase and you'll have plenty of power for your trip. I was able to charge a Blackberry and an iPhone from empty to full capacity, with still 50% of the power left over. It works also well on an iPad to top off the battery.
The built-in charging tips (micro USB, mini USB, and Apple connector) are great. During my trip, I didn't have to bring along so many cords to get tangled up. Be aware that the cords are really short -- especially the Apple one as you see in the picture. So, it's a little bit awkward if you want to talk on the device while you charge it. The nice thing is that it still has a full-sized USB charging port, so you can plug in a longer cord if you have it.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the product. It really doesn't replace a smaller charger if you just want something in your pocket, but will let you have plenty of fresh power when arriving in a city after a plane ride, through a day of meetings, or while backpacking around town. It seems well constructed, has useful power indicators, and a nice design overall.
The plugs are attached, so I don't have hunt for interchangeable plug heads.
It isn't too heavy, so I can carry it in my purse for emergency power charging when I can't get to a plug.
It has an on/off switch to save power.
It has a very readable indicator to let me know how much charge is left on the battery.
It's powerful enough to charge several devices at one time.
I can charge it either through the USB port on my computer or through a plug that has a USB port on it.
It doesn't charge my computer, but I mainly wanted something versatile and light-weight to have with me for my phone and maybe my iPad or Kindle and air card. (If I'm taking my laptop, I have a different backup for it.) I actually picked it out online and received it as a gift, and liked it so much I ordered one to give my sister as a gift. We are going to Alaska this summer, and with the two of us having this backup, we should never run out of power!
Note: The name in Amazon says "Powerbag," but the correct name is "PowerBank."
