Gummi Pflege is a special rubber treatment that conditions rubber weather seals on car doors, windows and trunks reducing squeaks, rattles, wind noise and potential water leaks. Gummi restores color to dried out rubber and keeps them elastic while protecting them against the damaging effects of heat, freezing temperatures and UV rays. It uses a petroleum free, water-based formula. Easy-to-use shoe polish type applicator makes application simple without the mess.

The Original Weather Seal Conditioner

For over 30 years, Gummi Pflege has been the treatment for rubber weather seals by automotive manufacturers, repair shops and detail shops. Gummi conditions seals around doors, windows, sunroofs, hoods and trunk lids and keeps them working at their optimum condition.

Gummi has a unique formula that penetrates the rubber, helps the rubber expand and leaves a water-resistant, dust-resistant sealed in finish for longer lasting results and also helps car doors from sticking in freezing temperatures.

Reason to Treat:

UV and extreme temperatures can dry and reduce the effectiveness of weather seals which can cause wind noise and water leaks. Using Gummi Pflege on the seals every few months can prevent seals from becoming damaged and needing replacement.

For very dry seals, several applications may be needed to bring them back to their original condition. Remember to apply on rubber seals in the engine area where they are exposed regularly to extreme heat which causes the rubber to dry and crack.

This is not the product I bought 3 years ago. I would no longer recommend it. there must be better stuff to be had.

Not the same as before. I bought a bottle maybe 3 years ago. This new Gummi Pflege does not coat like the the old one did.. Very disappointed. I will have to look for something else. I would not recommend this product . It seems like it has been diluted and no longer leaves a protective coating equal the older Gummi Pflege ,I can no longer recommend this product .

DO NOT SQUEEZE THE BOTTLE!

BAD instructions on the side of the bottle. It says to squeeze the bottle to get the product to flow. I did this, and the top popped off, causing a MAJOR MESS. The bottles have a FLOW applicator; you PUSH DOWN on the bottle when it is upside down to apply the product.

I hope I received a genuine product, as the instructions don't match the physical bottle's applicator.

Also, the product, for me, has the added effect of now my seals leak water when taking the car through the car wash. They did not leak at all before applying the product. This happened on both the driver and passenger doors at the same part of the seal where the rear view mirrors are. I should have known better than to try to fix something that wasn't really broken. :( Changed rating to 1 star.

Very simple to use product.. make sure you get the rubber clean first. That is going to take a little bit of elbow grease in some situations, but you want to get the rubber back to how it should be. The crusty stuff can come off with some soaked cleaning rags, then degreaser and a light abrasive, like fine steel wool for horribly heavy build up. I finish immediately with a good microfiber cloth to absorb all of the oxidation, dirt and such before applying the product.

I think I saw someone complaining about they couldn't get into some places with the included applicator... it's simple use an ear swab and/or cut a small piece of foam from say, a section of window ac unit foam.. and put it up against the foam applicator on the bottle to get some material in it..

You'll know the rubber is good when it's slightly shinier looking and appears that it won't take much more of the conditioner. If you have an older seal, like in one situation I had, I did two applications as the first one soaked in pretty quick. Maybe go back later on and go over it again, to see if it takes in anymore; just wipe off with a rag if it's too much.

Overall it seems like a good product and it really felt like on two doors that I use often, that it was ever so slightly harder to close them because the seals had swollen up from absorbing this conditioner. Product also has a smell that isn't bad at all.

I'll update and say I continue to enjoy this product. It really soaks in and conditions the seals well. I have used it on a handful of different applications at this point. Did some very dry under-hood weather seals, and it was amazing the difference, very flexible, smooth, etc... after many applications. Sometimes it's a night and day difference afterwards.

Works Awesome for Window/Door Seals

I have a BMW sedan and the outer window seals were starting to show splotches and discoloration. I really baby my car and only use the best carwash and polish, but no type of protectant could get the seals looking good again. This stuff is awesome, if you do the following:

1. Don't follow the instructions. Instructions tell you to wipe on and let dry, then reapply as necessary. I didn't like the way it looked.
2. Instead, wipe on a good coat first and as it is drying, start applying a second coat. While the second coat is still wet, use a lint free/micro fiber cloth and really work it into the seal. You will get a lot of black stuff on your rag. Repeat this until you get a real uniform coat and the seal has a nice even finish. Then let it dry.
3. Make sure you press the applicator down onto a rag while slightly squeezing the bottle to really get the tip wet. This seems to work better once the tip is really saturated. Unless you do this while its not on the window seal, it takes many passes to get the whole thing saturated.
4. When you work in the liquid, try and use clean parts of the cloth each time.

It worked at the first try, without even being applied properly.
I had a leak coming from my sunroof, first try and fixed. It was about to rain again and I had no time to clean the rubber seal. No more leaks!
I properly applied the product for a second time and hopefully will last for a while.
The applicator makes it so easy to spread the product with barely any mess. Do not worry about anything falling off as others mentioned. Just use common sense; press the bottle only while in contact to the surface to be treated and nothing will happen. Which nothing will happen anyway, I can only imagine how much pressure others must have applied to get everything to spill. So no worries here. Amazing product at an amazing price.

Miracle stuff for a VW Eos!

This stuff does the same as Krytox and so much cheaper.
I had a leak on my VW Eos roof which was causing my passenger seat to become wet and my windscreen to have condensation on it.
I bought this after reading many online reviews and applied it to ALL the roof and window seals after giving them a good clean.
The next day after a heavy rain, there was no condensation and my seat was bone dry!! It has now been a couple of weeks since I applied it and still dry.
I cannot recommend this stuff enough, it is a god send and so easy to apply, just massage it into the seals with the sponge applicator and it's done.
I shall be applying it every few months to make sure the seals are in great condition.

Stops frameless windows jamming in frost

Our convertible had a leak above the driver window and, having read some online forums, it was suggested to condition the rubber seals and re-waterproof the hood. Purchased this for the rubbers - Easy to use with an applicator sponge included. Conditioned all seals a round the car and the leak has stopped, alongside a number of creaky noises that have since disappeared.

Will continue to use over the winter to prevent the stills from sticking.

Great for cars with frameless doors

The motors on my coupe burned out because frost prevented the frameless windows from dropping after some cold weather (the windows need to drop a centimetre to allow the door to open). I wish I had used this before that issue cost me a lot of inconvenience and several hundred pounds.

Easy to apply this stuff to the door seals, and the rubber is noticeably softer and more flexible now. Prior to aplication it felt rather brittle.

Not sure how often you'd need to reapply - depends on how often your car is jetwashed I guess, or if it is left outside.

An extra star would be given for the brilliant product name - Gummi Pflege - but it's already at 5-star.
