These videos get kids up and moving! This high-energy collection features 20 of Mother Goose Club's greatest song videos including "Dinosaur Stomp", "The Bunny Hop" and "Where Is Thumbkin?". Jump Up and Rhyme With Mother Goose Club is perfect for classrooms, playrooms and car trips.
My 14 month old daughter loves the songs and characters! She dances along and has learned to do the same hand movements such as Itsy Bitsy Spider and Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes. It's so cute to see her following along! I especially like that the entire video contains the actual lovable characters and not plain kids and plain adults singing the songs with bad tunes and bad video like the other episodes. I can't stand those. (Even the cartoon versions aren't as bad as those!) The characters in this video are not scary or creepy! Definitely one of my favorite kids video! I don't mind that there is no list of songs since after watching it repeatedly, I know what's next and so does my daughter. Here's the list in case it helps anyone reading this: 1. Itsy Bitsy Spider 2. Dinosaur Stomp 3. Five Little Monkeys 4. Row Row Row Your Boat 5. If You're Happy and You Know It 6. Driving in My Car 7. Day-O 8. This Little Light of Mine 9. Little Bo Peep 10. Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes 11. Where Is Thumbkin? 12. Mr. Sun 13. ABC Song 14. Hello Friend 15. The Bunny Hop 16. Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary 17. Pat-a-Cake 18. Clap Your Hands 19. Old MacDonald Had a Farm 20. Peek-a-Boo
I get home from work and the first thing my one and a half year old son is take my iPhone out of my pocket and open YouTube Kids so he can watch Mother Goose Club. So I decided to buy the DVDs so he could watch on a big screen. As soon as the DVD goes on he just sits on the couch or floor and watches while he does the hand motions for Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels On The Bus, and any song with clapping. He absolutely loves the show, its the only show that he will just sit and watch. Only problem is that it can be very hard to pull him away from it.
The five stars is misleading...I do not love this but my grandson adores "goose." He is two and will watch this for about 20 minutes, which is at least 10 minutes longer than he watches most things. He likes to try to mimic the movements and some of the songs. We use this for getting ready in the morning when he stays overnight. I have an education background and feel this series is pretty good from that standpoint. The rhythm varies from quick 10 second bits to longer songs. Many of the songs are familiar, so you can start singing along right away. There are always simple movements/dances that go along witht the songs that encourage gross motor movement.
My 1 year old daughter really likes the singing and dancing in this video. All the songs are familiar and so she's heard them before. This video keeps my daughter entertained for the entire time of the video. Which is kind of a life saver.
I love this DVD-the songs are fun and the choreography is surprisingly good as well as the children who sing and dance all the catchie tunes- I find myself humming even when I'm not watching-oh and all my grandchildren love it too!!(ages 7months -4 yrs)
