This one comes with a lanyard for your neck or a ring so you can add it to your keychain and always have it with you for whenever the need arises. The slip-on lens protectors will keep them nice and dust/scratch free, and the holder clip will keep the inside clean. I no longer have to plan to take it with me now, and that's going to ensure I use it far more often. Mine also came with a case for my phone which makes it even easier to use, never have to guess if it's positioned on the camera lens properly. Not sure if all that is included in this price or if there's a separate bundle, I do see the case being sold separately, but I'd recommend the case if you're on the fence about it.
The people giving it 1 or 2 stars because the wide angle has distortion (straight lines look curved), or the macro requires you to get very close and has a shallow depth of field... these people simply do not understand how cameras and lenses work. The only way to add more width to the field of view of a lens of a given length (such as the iPhone's lens) is to use a lens with more curve to "bend" the light in from a wider angle. Even $5000 professional DSLR cameras have to deal with this when they're using wide angle lenses.
Similarly all macro (or more technically in this case: close-up) lenses require you to get closer to the subject, and inherently have a shallow depth of field. Sure, DSLR macro lenses costing thousands of dollars (the lens itself, not including the camera) may have aperture adjustmets (f-stop, or f/#.#) to compensate for the shallow depth of field, but the higher you go with the f/stop the more crucial it is to get plenty of light or your pictures will come out very dark and/or blurry even from the very tiny amount of body shake that the mirror in a DSLR can cause. The iPhone has a fixed f/2.2 lens, in photography terms the smaller the f/stop number the larger the opening to let light in, so f/2.2 is a big opening while f/28 is a tiny opening, and the larger the opening, the shallower the depth of field. This is not a flaw of the Olloclip, they can't magically give the iPhone an f/28 lens to be able to take a picture of a flower extremely close up and in full focus (and even if they could, you'd likely never be able to get enough light in for the iPhone's tiny lens, to even take a picture that you can make out any details with an aperture that tiny) because the sensor on these things is so tiny compared to something like a DSLR. Even compact cameras have sensors that are several times larger than a smartphone camera, any smartphone camera.
If there's a legitimate flaw to be had with the macro lens, is that the clip covers the iPhone's flash, so you can't use that to try and flood the subject with some light while taking pictures. I can't really fault the Olloclip for this though, because using the built-in flash, unless the subject you're shooting is pretty much perfectly flat, you're going to get hard shadows and potentially even completely blocked light simply from something being too close to it. One suggestion I would make for the next design revision, make the clip body itself slightly thicker, to allow for a fiber optic channel that can be used to channel light from the flash to a ring around the macro lens. It might not be quite as bright as the naked flash, but it would at least provide somewhat of a ring-flash effect and should help those extreme close ups to be well lit and shake free.
