The manual says 5V/0.5A output in the USB dock, and 5V/1A in the DC dock.

So I ordered an IMP550 but it did not work with the iPad; output is only 500 ma.

I guess this bigger unit will have the same problems?

If you zoom in on the pictures of the product, it shows one USB port at 1A and the other USB port at 2A. The iPad needs 2A.

A
The battery itself runs at 5V. The charger is what is affected by the higher voltage, and said that it is compatible with 120/240 conversion
