This review is for the Outdoor Digital Amplified Yagi HDTV Antenna with Built-in High Gain/Low Noise Amplifier.
Two years ago I purchased the plastic-cased, amplified antenna with built-in 360-degree rotator. You probably know the one, it’s a very common item sold here on Amazon by many vendors. That antenna performed okay, especially for the price, but the plastic parts succumbed rather quickly to the relentless Florida sun.
I replaced that antenna with this all-metal Yagi. Despite the fact that it doesn’t rotate, this antenna is superior in every way. The location of my antenna is about 53 feet from the terminal connection, so I did not use the included cable. Instead, I used 55 feet of very high-quality RG-6/U. This did not appear to negatively affect the performance at all.
The antenna arrived in excellent condition in full factory-sealed packaging. All of the parts were there, and assembly was simple. The U-Bolt that holds the antenna to the mast is solid and secure, much better than the plastic knobs that secured the old antenna this replaced. The aluminum construction appears a bit lightweight, compared to outdoor TV antennas from my past. However, I feel the material is sturdy enough to provide many years of service.
Our home is in Dunedin Florida, a suburb of Tampa. Our nearest transmitting towers are actually well outside of Tampa city limits, placing them about 43 – 55 miles away from us. We are able to receive 63 terrestrial stations with this antenna pointed ESE of our location. This is significantly better than the 40 or so stations we could receive before.
I have this antenna connected to a 2-way splitter, which is installed on the “receiver” side of the power injector. This splitter then feeds an Air-TV server and an HD Radio receiver. Not only is this antenna a great performer on the UHF-TV spectrum, I also find it performs very well for HD Radio.
Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the product. It has exceeded every expectation I had for it. If full aluminum construction, historic Yagi-Uda design and long-range performance is important to you – I think you’ll find this antenna fits the bill at a great price.

Does the job, even in a rural mountain area
There are a couple of stations in New Mexico that we can't get on this antenna, but that is caused by our mountainous terrain and the location of the transmitters. Also, when the weather turns, some stations break up or don't come in at all. But most of the time we have free, high-resolution TV coming through the antenna, and it's been a cost-saving device since we can limit our monthly streaming costs by supplementing with over-the-air programming. (We canceled our satellite service due to the high expense and low return.)I saw a note about mounting it to an existing satellite dish, and we tried that, with very good results (see photos). I was also able to use the installed satellite dish cables rather than stringing the provided coax, so that felt like a win all around. By the way, we get winds with gusts up to 70 mph here at various times of the year, and the antenna has stayed securely attached through them all.The inside installation is not difficult, but has its quirks. You can find installation videos that walk you through it, so it's just a matter of getting the antenna pointed the best direction. There are apps that can help with that, also. Bottom line: good value for the money, and way better than any of the "pancake" type antennas that we tried previously.

I saw a note about mounting it to an existing satellite dish, and we tried that, with very good results (see photos). I was also able to use the installed satellite dish cables rather than stringing the provided coax, so that felt like a win all around. By the way, we get winds with gusts up to 70 mph here at various times of the year, and the antenna has stayed securely attached through them all.
The inside installation is not difficult, but has its quirks. You can find installation videos that walk you through it, so it's just a matter of getting the antenna pointed the best direction. There are apps that can help with that, also. Bottom line: good value for the money, and way better than any of the "pancake" type antennas that we tried previously.
