This is such a fun and clever series! I REALLY hope the author continues writing in this world. I can't sing enough praises for this book and the previous book.
There's nothing like a murder in the middle of a hurricane! This book is genius. Welcome back to the zany characters of Camino. A lot of the side characters don't play as big of a part in this one as they did in the first one, but that was okay. Their parts in this book were well timed and delivered.
Although this book was written to be more of a fun book, the author did a well job at incorporating some fraud, the FBI, and a good murder mystery without it being boring and wordy. It wasn't very technical in the amateur investigation. I never got bored. I was turning the pages, looking forward to what would happen next.
If you're looking for a fun type of "thriller", this is definitely one to pick up. Just make sure you read the first book first. Although it could be read as a standalone, you miss some of the things they refer to from the first book. You also get more of all of the characters in the first book. You will have a better connection to them by reading it.
