Wow, Bishop and Stevie are amazing together. Bishop is a grumpy hockey player who has a chip on his shoulder. He was passed over a Captaincy for his new hockey team and only has a short term contract. Stevie is the younger sister of the Captain of Bishops’s hockey team. She ends up moving across the hall from Bishops’s penthouse when she moves into her brother’s apartment after catching her boyfriend cheating on her on her birthday. Their first meeting is explosive because Bishop is surly and rude after Stevie inadvertently wakes him in the middle of the night. Stevie gives as good as she gets and thus starts their rocky relationship. Stevie is a physical therapist who comes in handy when Bishop hurts his groin and she eventually agrees to help him work on his injury so he can get back into playing. This book had the humor we come to expect from Helena Hunting. Bishop and Stevie exude a lot of fire between them. Bishop is a bit of a jerk in the beginning of the book but he eventually wins you over by peeling back the layers and showing that he really has a heart. I love Stevie’s spunky attitude. She is feisty but has a heart. She wants to prove herself without having to rely on her brother to make it in her line of work. It’s fun to see a Violet cameo. She’s a hoot and makes every book. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. This book was fantastic.
