This is great for what it is. I am stocking up on survival supplies and wanted to open and try some before buying in bulk. Few things you should know so expectations do not cause disappointments.

If you follow the directions exactly - 2 cups of boiling water in the pouch and sit for 5 min- it's edible, but soupy & meat was a not fully re-hydrated. Was kinda bland tasting.

Keep salt an pepper in your survival kit. I also like garlic & onion powders. I made a second pouch in a pot - boiled 1.75 cups water, added mix and some of those seasonings simmered for about 5 min covered and a few more min uncovered and it was pretty darn good.

The 1 cup serving size is small. If you are just surviving I am sure it will keep you alive, but for adventure activities (hiking, Biking, etc...), you need more than minimum calories, consider 2 servings per person per meal.
