I order 3 pads, Orange for compounds, White for polishes and Red for liquid waxes. I like to use different colors with both different materials and brands. Turtle Wax being my go to brand and these pads preformed well.
The pads are nice and thick, making them ideal for cars and trucks with many curves. I have a Chevy Malibu and the hood has many curves - these pads worked well at getting the job done without too much fuss.
The Velcro is very tacky. It has a good grip - no worries about the pad coming off at high speeds. I like to use different pads for different brands, etc. so I swap them out frequently. They are holding up well and from the looks of it, the Velcro will outlast the pad by years to come.
Out of all the pads I purchased, the Orange started to fall apart in a few minutes - see 4th photo. Little chips were coming off. I decided to continue with buffing my car - the pad held up and has continued to perform without any issues. I have no idea what would cause this and the other 2, white for polish and red for wax have been excellent.
I love the colors, but do not see any difference between them. No matter, I will mostly use the Red for waxing. I usually only use compounds when someone nicks or scratches my car. I polish maybe twice a year, but I wax my car every chance I get. Usually once a week unless the weather is bad.
Clean up for me is sticking it into the plastic. I do not clean my pads and don't really see the need to. I found that pads usually last longer when kept a little moist. Most of my pads I keep in a zip-lock bag and have never had any issues.
All in all, these are some really nice polishing and waxing pads - I just wish they would stabilize the price, because I really do not see any value paying twice as much for the Red when I do not see a difference between the colors.
