Asurion started the coverage weeks before I received and opened the laptop - asked to have the contract cancelled the day after ordering the laptop to be sure that didn’t happen and never heard back. My card was charged - that’s it that’s all. No customer service on the front end suggests that any device on the back end will be similar.
