I really enjoyed this twist on the stories of both Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. Neil Gaiman's writing paired with Chris Riddell's art is once more a great pleasure. Unlike "Fortunately, the Milk," "The Wolves in the Walls," and "The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish" this will not be going on my son's bedtime bookshelf for some time. This story, despite it's length, is dark, matching it's much older source material. This volume will have a place of distinction on my shelf... along with all the other Neil Gaiman books I've fallen in love with (in particular, next to Neverwhere).
