I just made the switch to using mostly reusable nursing pads. At 4 months postpartum, my milk supply is much steadier than it was in the earlier weeks, so I don't need quite the absorbency level I used to. I like that these are much more eco-friendly and will pay themselves off quite quickly relative to the cost of disposables.
Pros: Contoured shape is *less* visible than something flat would be Soft and breathable fabric feels great against my skin Very cute wet bag No special patterns, so any two are always "matching" The seam in each layer of fabric that makes these slightly contoured is set on opposite sides of the pad so there isn't just one giant, thick seam Comfortably covers my nipple (unlike Bamboobies, which can slip and slide right off where they most need to be!)
Cons: These are still visible under nursing bras and tanks Sometimes these get sour milk-y after only a couple of hours even with just one or two letdown's worth of leaks There are only 4 sets in the pack, which only lasts me 1-2 days These are a bit thick, which doesn't work well under bras that already have some heft to them (like Bravado Bodysilk) Only come in one diameter--I could use some that are a bit smaller (my breasts are about a 32D/E right now)
