This book is very good at trying to get a child to connect feelings and sensations to their emotions and personal needs. In fact, its the only book I have found so far that even address listening to your body without going spiritual (and we wanted something neutral). However there is no discussion of right versus wrong OR needs versus wants. Just because you feel you want something and you think it will satisfy DOES NOT MEAN you should necessarily do it. Listening to your body is great, but you need an awareness of how your choices might impact yourself and others... as well as the ability to make good decisions. Some kids love to put everything in their mouth - it is comforting to them and satisfies their empty feelings, but its dangerous and can be life threatening. So teach this book to kids along with teaching some boundaries on behaviors and that impulses/emotions/feelings should not drive your life choices.
