I love Roku products, this is my fourth device plus I have a TV with Roku built-in. I bought this because I needed a stronger signal then one of my original Roku’s. As I was replacing the old one with this one, I found it strange that it didn’t go through it’s normal set up after I signed in to my Wi-Fi. So of course it wouldn’t be added to my account and I couldn’t control with my phone app. After some time of digging around the settings trying to find the account information, sure enough, there was, someone else’s email address was already associated with this device. First, never send anything back you haven’t cleared all your account info from. Second, don’t sell someone a new product that is not new, shame on you Roku and or Amazon. I did not buy an open box item, I bought new.
All that being said, once I went back to factory settings and added my account, work like a champ, at least three times as fast as my previous version and I like the feel of the new remote. So all in all, I would recommend this product but make sure the set up goes as it should, otherwise your information could be compromised.
