This was an interesting read because of the unusual profession of the main character. Research into the many different uses and potential for sea life is not a topic about which I have read, so it gave this book a new and informative twist.
While most other aspects of the story were rather predictable, it was still an enjoyable read. I especially appreciated the fact that the female protagonist didn't attempt ridiculous stunts on her own, but wisely kept proper officials in the loop. While I love a strong female, too many of the heroines in today's books act very foolishly. I would read other books by this author.
