This game is really good. It is much better than the first. Resistance fall of man, though a good game, seemed extremely dated even for its time. The levels were confusing, you were able to carry to many weapons, the aiming wasn't down the sites, the graphics were a little PS2 like, not to mention it had an annoying health meter. I felt like I was playing a game from 2003. Resistance 2 fixed all the problems in resistance: fall of man. Resistance 2 has a more realistic feel of firing weapons with its iron sites and the fact the carbine doesn't have bullet paths. You can finally run. I like the fact I don't have to scrounge around for health capsules anymore. The campaign was so much more action packed and intense. I played resistance: fall of man actually hoping it would end halfway through the game. Resistance 2 actually has me hoping it won't end for a long time.

I don't know why anybody would say Resistance 2 was inferior to the first. Wait, I do know why. I've seen this type of gamer before. They are never pleased with any game no matter what. They are always disappointed by a sequel because it isn't 100% like the original. If you love the original so much, then play the original! These type of people think they could make a game way better than a people who are professionals and have put countless hours into to making a game. Put down a list of the best video games today and sure enough Captain I-Hate-Everything will say everything sucks because it isn't exactly like his favorite game from like 5 years ago.

I was tempted not to buy this game because of the criticism by these types. I'm so glad I checked the game out myself. Sometimes you just need to ignore what people say about a game. You might miss out on something good if you don't. If you want an action packed campaign and realistic game play, than I recommend getting Resistance 2!
