This is a wonderful story! It is not at all what I expected but it’s really lovely. I read the first chapter months ago and I have been quite excited to see where it was going and I’m happy to say it was worth the wait. While this is a love story between the whimsical designer Meg and the seemingly buttoned up Reid there is also a lot more to this story. It’s very much a love letter to NYC and everything that makes it vibrant and unique. The setting becomes quite central to the unfolding story. It’s also about the importance of friendship and being yourself with those in your life. This is a book that feels very cinematic, you can just see it unfolding on a big screen like a wonderful Nora Ephron movie, although to be frank it does not have a lot of the com central to a rom-com. It’s tone tends to be a little more frank and forthright which suits Meg, and this is very much her story. You will find yourself captivated by her and where this story takes her. This is my first novel by this author but I’m excited to read more by her.
