This is a spectacular story about the epic clash between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari for victory at the 24 hours of LeMans, the world’s most grueling auto race. The writing is as good as it gets, little details about the men and the race are sprinkled throughout the story, and the author keeps you glued to each page like epoxy. No photos, but who needs them with writing like this? The book moves as fast as a GT-40, but don’t hurry your read, because you will be sorry when it ends.
Fun, funny, gripping, controversial, and filled with emotions from laughter to to depression, this is a fantastic book. It is about racing and little else, so if you don’t enjoy the sport you might not like it; however, this book is so good that, unless you despise motor sports, I bet you will.
