I had 4 friends and 1 family member try, and to me it was tuna. the color. the taste and smell were all tuna. I reached out to star kist and gave them the packaging numbers. showed them pictures of the consistance, and how it breaks up... (not like salmon at all) and their response was that salmon from alaska is this way. Due to the cooking process pink salmon is not pink. (i never mentioned the color)
HORRIBLE product. why pay double for tuna. that is 100% what was in the can. No doubt about it. 5 people all 100% positive its not salmon. And star kist response... its not supposed to be pink. Have kept canned salmon for dips and toppings for other recipes. know what it tastes like. know what it smells like. Star Kist... "caught in alaska" shipped to the phillipines, packaged and sent back.. Don't trust their word.
