When searching for some LED recessed lighting retrofits for my kitchen, I narrowed it down to this light and another one from a different manufacturer. Both were roughly the same price, so it was a coin flip. Glad I chose these! Not only were they easy to install taking less than 2 minutes per light, but they were much brighter than the old incandescent bulbs. Even better, it was nice to see that these dimmed fine without flicker or humming on an old dimmer switch! I had planned to replace the dimmer eventually with an updated smart dimmer switch, but this nice little bonus bought me some time.

Color:
The version I bought was the "4000k Neutral White". As you can see from the two side-by-side pics, these are definitely a lot whiter than the old bulbs. We were going for that in the kitchen and are pleased with the decision, but keep in mind that these are very close to a standard fluorescent light (like in an office or dept store) with no yellow or blue whatsoever. Certain colors will look different under this light than they do under incandescent, and any minor blemishes on your walls you didn't notice before may get exposed. If you're going to use these in a warmer setting such as a bedroom, family room, or finished basement, you may want to drop down to 3000k.

Quality:
I must say, I'm impressed with the build quality. The hooks on the side are well placed for a quick install and seem durable. The plastic trim that lays flush against the ceiling looks nice, as the bezel is just right and not too wide. For less than $5 per light, these are a steal even if you don't need all 12. The only defect or inconsistency so far is that one of the six lights I installed was slightly brighter than the rest, which is only noticeable when dimmed below 10%. The two darker pics show this. Definitely not a major concern but worth mentioning.

Pros:
- Easy to install
- Significantly brighter than 60W incandescent bulbs
- Dimmed fine on an old mechanical dimmer without humming
- Perfect for areas where natural white light is needed (4000k option)
- Great overall look that doesn't break the bank

Cons:
- Whiter than you'd probably want for some areas

I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a cheap and easy retrofit that doesn't look cheap. And while my old dimmer worked pretty well with these, pairing the lights with a smart dimmer switch was an improvement. The newer switch allowed me to get these to dim all the way down to 1% (less bright than a night light). You won't be disappointed!
