Customer Review

I loved the premise of the book--what if the Axis won WWII? And what it would be like to live in an occupied US. And at.first I found the Book of Change to be an interesting prop--do people really live their lives based on interpreting sticks and coins? But later in the book I found them to be annoying. And the flow of the story became harder to follow. The version of Japanese English language was intriguing, but I also found this to be a bit annoying after a while. And while I know it is reflective of life, that you don't like everyone you meet, but I really did not end up liking any of the characters in the book and by the end, I found i was just trying to get to the end. For me, a very intriguing premise, but a disappointing story.
