I don’t know why I’ve continued to buy this series -- I guess mostly out of respect for Flynn -- but I’m done now. This book was so relentlessly simpleminded that he would be ashamed of it and probably of me for buying it.
Readers aren’t dolts even if publishers think we are. They apparently believe they can sell us anything if it has a good brand name on the cover. Lesson learned. Never again.
