The first half of the book focuses on the different aspects of sensory issues giving multiple examples of both good and bad times and how to deal with it. The next quarter is specifically for parents and teachers with how to make it easier for a child with these issues to function. The last quarter of the book deals with the scientific basis behind how sensory processing disorders occur. There are a couple of appendices that discuss a few other things along with a glossary. Overall, it is made for the lay person (both parents and teachers) and gives them a background understanding of what the issues could be and then how to deal with them. I found the most helpful part on how to work with children who have sensory processing disorders!
