First, I must mention that I am using these with a Samsung S9. I don't know enough about BT technology to know if there is a difference between the way they work with Android and Apple.
I'll start off with the positives:
- Super Super comfortable - Pairs very easy - Button controls have a great feel - Case was very easy to work with and made good contact for charging. - Battery life is excellent, can use them all week without charging ~ ten hours and they were still going.
- Constantly dropped out in my gym which normally has about 30 - 50 people in it. This would happen approx. 3-5 times per song and dropouts were 1-2 seconds. This is super annoying and it was my ultimate deal breaker.
- Poor sound quality... I understand these are Bluetooth earbuds and the resolution is limited, but I know they can sound better than this because I have listened to other wireless earbuds. Sound is very thin and hollow-like. Mids are recessed to the point that I can barely stand it. I mean, certain instruments and details I couldn't even hear in some of my songs. I thought something was wrong at first and tried different sized buds and all that. I looked deeper into the reviews and saw that many others have complained about the same thing. Maybe an EQ app would fix some of this to get an acceptable sound, but honestly for $200 they should be reasonably balanced out of the box.
I would have probably been able to overlook the poor sound problem because I love the comfort and convenience of these so much. Unfortunately, with the dropouts I am just going to go back to good old wired earbuds until the BT technology advances enough to prevent dropouts in crowded areas.
