Unlike so many other switches out there, this one works both ways, meaning it solved my problem of needing to connect one audio/video receiver to two different displays; A television and a projector. It also supports up to 4K, so my TV loses nothing in terms of resolution when it's in use, while my projector (which is only 1080p) still works fine with existing HDMI cables. I did need to run a 25' HDMI cable around the room, but it's worth it. Now I can use my Nvidia Shield TV, Xbox, and other devices with either display as I see fit, while still getting the use of my av receiver's surround sound.
And all this is because Plex dropped 10-foot user interface support from Plex Media Player, which is what I previously used on my projector. I've dumped Plex MP now in favor of using Kodi in my home theater set up. If a company isn't going to support their long-time power users, then we'll find other ways to get what we want without them. Bye-bye Plex Media Player, Hello Kodi on my projector!
Anyway, this inexpensive switch made it all possible. Five stars!
