I just don't get this book. It seemed more like a desperate fund-raising campaign than a literary effort. 166 numbered pages, a full half of them with no content, just blank space. The print pages contained works of Ms Angelou which had appeared elsewhere, or the attributed works of others. The short chapters are not letters and there was no daughter. So, we are left with very little of original substance. I have great admiration for Maya Angelou, a very accomplished woman, indeed an iconic person, just not this "book."
