I was searching for lightweight tripod that could also support my Canon EOS RP (a medium sized camera) with kit zoom lens. This looked promising, so off went the order.
My initial reaction was positive, at least before I mounted my camera. This tripod is ultra-portable and adjustable, comes with a nice carry case, and initially seemed plenty sturdy for my setup. It's also very easy to adjust, plus there's a rapid-mount adapter.
That, however, is the end of the good news. My initial optimism was dashed by the overly plastic and insecure camera mount. Unlike a proper Arca Swiss style all metal rapid mount with positive clamping, this tripod has a weak and frankly scary clamping device. With any decently sized camera/lens (well within the claimed load limit btw) the little plastic mount flexes and strains under the weight. There's no way I want my $2000 camera dangling off 30 cents of molded plastic!
I am returning it for a more suitable tripod. This may be fine for a cellphone or little point and shoot. Not for a larger/heavier camera.
In spite of what the photos show, I can't give this a good recommendation for use with a DSLR or similar.
