Overall, it's a great book: well-written and fascinating topic. Whenever you start to think you know where your sympathies lie, PKD drops kicks your feelings and tells you to get out of his house...and this happens a couples times.
My main issue with the novel was that the ending felt rushed and one part seemed out of left-field (not in a great way). Also, I wish there was a bit more action in certain scenes. I would still say that it's worth reading though despite those "flaws".
Heads up: if you're hypersensitive to animal cruelty/death (like I am), some parts of this book may bother you. They're not horrific, but they're there.
