It is a sad commentary on the state of American partisanship that people have used a very minor and fleeting incident involving a bumper strip and the car owner’s politics to disparage one of Michael Connelly’s best books. This is a very interesting, gripping and informative story about a legal battle in which the book’s hero, Mickey Haller, the Lincoln Lawyer, is fighting a personal murder charge. The political objections by some reviewers are just silly. And sad. And why Amazon has chosen to lead the review section with those off-the-wall reviews is beyond me.
