I am used to working with a Leica laser measurer - which works much better than the Bosch and has more bells and whistles. The Leica is also about 6-7 times the cost of this Bosch measurer. I bought the Bosch because it's small, and I assumed would come in handy for quick take-offs. I found when using the Bosch, I put one end up to the wall, push the button, and the distance briefly shows, but then disappears, and I have to do it again. It seems a little overly sensitive. The distances are accurate, though. I don't know if I would use this (or any distance measurer in the ballpark price range) to get critical dimensions. It's a great tool that comes in very handy for construction workers, designers, realtors who need quick area take-offs. Much faster, more accurate, and easier than having 2 people with one tape measure. I would have given this a 5-star, but the sensitivity of the tool good be improved maybe. Would defintely recommend for the uses I mentioned.
