I got to test out a bunch of these meals in a variety of flavors, and I have been impressed with all of them. The chicken and dumplings and the biscuits in gravy were my least favorite of the types that I tried, but they were still very tasty and filling.
These meals are super easy to make- all you need is boiling water and a measuring cup. You add boiling water to the bag, stir the food, close the bag and let it sit for five minutes and then stir it and let it sit for four more minutes. According to the nutritional facts each bag has two servings, but if it is to be an entire meal, we found that one bag comfortably feeds one adult. These are tasty enough to not just be emergency rations or camping food. We would eat them regularly.
The biggest seller for us with these meals is that there are gluten free options, which is important because my partner has celiac disease. I like that there are meals that we both enjoy. We both loved the beef stew, the pad thai, and the yellow curry chicken meals. We both found the chicken and rice to be okay. There were not any meals that we did not like or couldn't stomach.
The second biggest selling point on these for us is the shelf life. These are good for 29 years! The best by dates on all of the meals that we received were in 2049. We will be buying a bunch of these.
