Another fine Dewalt tool. I have been very happy with all their 20V MAX line of tools since the batteries all seems to have charge level indicators and don't self discharge like Ni-Cad batteries did.
The only issue i had was in the limited documentation as to the usability of what sized arbor grinding wheels is supported. This has been a point of issue for me today. I bought this tool, along with both grinding and cutoff discs, but the metal cutting cut off discs i ordered were substituted with masonry cutoff discs.. SO I went to the store to buy metal cutting discs but I was uncertain of the spec if it was a 5/8 arbor. I did some searching and found that the manual says 5/8 arbor..
but, KEY POINT, the grinding wheels i bought are a 7/8 arbor size and the fit fine too. The 5/8 size discs fit just around the threaded shaft of the arbor, but the backing flange has a 7/8" diameter installation boss too, so while it may not be 'officially' supported, a 7/8" arbor disc or grinding wheel WILL install securely, centered etc. In the photo, you will see the diameter of the threaded arbor, the 7/8" diameter boss on the backing flange and the yellow o-ring that looks to be interfering with where a 7/8 diameter wheel would install, but it does not interfere, it compresses out of the way.
