I was worried about purchasing this project due to the negative reviews, but I am glad that I trusted my gut and ordered it anyways. All of the complaints that I see on the other reviews seem to be user error. I will give my guide to troubleshooting below: 1. If labels are not appearing as visible (well, white) as you would like them to, press on the handle harder. The force of your fingers determines if the label is good or bad. 2. If the label maker gets jammed, open the compartment, pull out the tape, and reload it by pressing the space key. Cut then restart. 3. As a rule of thumb, I do two spaces before and two spaces after whatever word I'm printing and then cut the label down to size with scissors. This way, no dents will be on my label.
I have had no issues at all with this product and I'm already on my second roll of label tape. Another tip I can give is to not be in a hurry. If you quickly spin the dial, you run the risk of jamming it or not settling on the correct letter completely, making the emboss not as visible. But again, even if you do jam it, it's an easy fix.
