Disclaimer: I have not finished the book yet. I lost it not once, but twice. I feel like the universe doesn’t want me to win. Okay I’m done with my rant lol.
I really liked the first two part of the books. I’ve been trying to understand why I can’t quit certain behaviors in my personal life, and the book allowed me to put things into perspective.
In the first part of the book, Charles talks about reflecting on our behavioral habits. why we do He discusses ways we can change a bad habit into a good habit. He introduces the habit loop: cue, routine and reward.
I’ve been trying to eat healthy for years and this book has allowed me to change my mind about my rewards.
Cue : I get into my car Routine: I go to a drive through Reward : fast food, sweet treats and ice coffee
I simply swapped out my reward to healthy foods or bringing a snack to avoid eating while driving. It sounds so simple and maybe I’m not explaining it the best way, however, I’ve been Keto for two weeks and I’m planning on finishing this book by any means.
